Charges and reservations:

Your space on the trip is guaranteed upon receipt of a $1000 non-refundable deposit. Deposits can be made through our secure web page.

Deposits may also be paid by check, but your reservation won’t be confirmed until the check is received.

Full payment is due 60 days before the start of the expedition. If payment is not received 60 days prior to the start of the expedition, it will be considered cancellation by you and you may lose your space on the trip, deposit, and any other payments, per our cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy:

If YOU cancel the trip for any reason after your space on the expedition is confirmed, the following cancellation fees will apply:

  • Up to 60 days before the trip: Half of trip cost + loss of deposit

  • After 60 days before the trip: No refund

If Extremely Patagonia cancels a trip, your payments to Extremely Patagonia, including deposit, will be refunded. Extremely Patagonia is not responsible for and will not refund any other incurred costs and we recommend that you consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance.

Note: Any expedition member whose conduct is determined to be detrimental to themselves or others will be removed from the expedition without a refund (see “Code of Conduct” in the Contract Page >>).

What's included:

Before the trip: We will email you an information packet that contains some background about Chile, a gear list, medical questionnaire, accommodation and other information to help you prepare your trip. We are also happy to help arrange Chilean domestic flights.

During the trip: We will pick you up on the morning of Day 1 in Coyahique. From the time we pick you up on day 1 until the time we drop you off at the end of your expedition, all transportation and accommodation costs are included. All meals are included in the trip price unless otherwise specified. We provide group equipment per the gear list. Don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions. We also provide fully qualified guides and all training necessary to complete the trip. Guides are wilderness first responders and will carry an expedition medical kit.

What isn't included:

Transportation to and from Coyahique, including international and domestic flights. All expenses incurred prior to pick up on day 1, including lodging in Coyhaique, are your responsibility.

While the food provided by Extremely Patagonia is more than sufficient, there may be opportunity to buy supplemental food, beverages, or alcoholic beverages during the trip. These purchases will be your responsibility. All personal equipment (as per the gear list) is also your responsibility. We do have some equipment avilable for rent or purchase, but it's best to check with us first. All expedition members are required to have medical insurance that will also cover evacuations from the field and to cover medical expenses incurred by other agencies or medical providers.

Although not required, your guide greatly appreciates gratuities. 5-10% is a good rule of thumb.

Please see our Participant Contract Page >> if you have any other questions.
