Providing Incredible Expeditions

Why Extremely Patagonia?

  • Spend your time in the mountains on on the sea. No one wants to spend their vacation sitting in a bus. On our expeditions, we spend as much time as possible amongst the glaciers, peaks, and fjords of the region. No showers, no pizza, no TV. Just remote, off trail, expeditions into the very heart of Patagonia.
  • Small group size. We have a maximum of seven clients per trip. That means lots of individual attention.
  • Our guides. We love what we do. We are guides because we think it’s the best job in the world and because we get to take people to amazing places and teach them skills that we really enjoy using. We're all climbers or sea kayakers in our off time, honing our craft all over the world. Also, we are all certified Guides, Wilderness First Responders, and certified Leave No Trace practitioners.
  • Focused on practical, skills based learning. We place a lot of emphasis on learning and actual use of skills. We use a combination of sit down and practical classes to teach you these skills along the way, and then you get to use them throughout the expedition, in context, many times over, so your learning makes the transition from ‘Oh yeah, I learnt that once’ to something you really understand.
  • Part of being a good expedition member is learning how to take care of other people and looking after the environment. To that end, you will receive basic first aid and Leave No Trace instruction on all of our expeditions.
  • We’ve made Patagonia our home. Although we come from a diverse background (our guides originally hail from places as varied as Alaska or New Zealand), we have decided that Patagonia is where we want to be. This is reflected in our keen interest and knowledge of the local flora and fauna, and our love for the place in which we’re privileged to work.
  • Strong commitment to safety. We balance pushing towards a goal while keeping personal and group safety at the forefront of everything we do.
